| Updated: Problems redeeming PayPal coupons |
| June 26, 2008 | 03:35:22 PM PDT |
 |
| Some members are currently having problems redeeming coupons through PayPal when using eBay Checkout. There are several reasons this may happen:
1. Only one eBay coupon can be used per Checkout. If you have received more than one coupon, you may use them on subsequent Checkouts. 2. Some members have received eBay coupon codes from their friends or found them on the internet. Unfortunately, only the person who received the coupon can use it. If you didn't receive the coupon in My Messages, you won't be able to use it. 3. Coupons can only be used once. When a coupon has been used, it becomes ineligible for future use. 4. Coupons are email address-specific, and cannot be used with any other email address. In addition, that email address must be confirmed in your PayPal account. |

| Original: Problems redeeming PayPal coupons |
| June 23, 2008 | 07:59:24 PM PDT |
 |
| Some members are currently having problems redeeming coupons through PayPal when using eBay Checkout. If you are having problems redeeming coupons, please remember that only one coupon is redeemable per item. Additionally, your eBay Email address must also be registered to your PayPal account. Please double check to make sure that you have the same email address registered on the eBay site and on PayPal. Once the email address has been confirmed, you should be able to redeem the coupon. |

| eBay Account Update Intermittent Delays |
| June 24, 2008 | 02:03:06 PM PDT |
 |
| Some sellers intermittently notice the following when reviewing their Seller Accounts:
- Different amounts due on various site pages (View Account Status vs. Invoices, for example)
- Payments to eBay or fees incurred not displaying
- PowerSeller discount amounts different
- View Account Status page slow to load
- Subscription fees (for services such as Picture Manager, Marketplace Research, Stores, etc.) not appearing
These issues can occur during and immediately after the invoicing periods each month. On eBay, we run invoices on the 1st and the 15th of each month. For a couple of days thereafter, these delays and issues can occur, as the invoices are processed.
If you encounter any of these issues, please wait a couple of days and try viewing your Account Status again. If you still encounter a problem which cannot be explained, don’t hesitate to contact us. |

Have you tried clearing you cache and cookies?
Often times the problem you're experiencing will be resolved if you clear out your Web browser's cache and cookies. Here's how.
Your browser's cache and cookies -- what are they?
Your browser "cache" is the place on your computer that stores Web pages that you visit. When you visit the same Web page or view an image again, your
browser accesses the stored copy of the Web page in your cache. This lets it load the Web page more quickly, as it's retrieving most of the information
from your computer, and only downloading information from the Web page that may have changed since your previous visit. However, this cache gets "full"
and can often cause pages to load slowly or not at all.
"Cookies" are small files that eBay and other Web sites put on the hard drive of your computer so that it can remember your preferences at a later time.
Typically, a cookie records your stated preferences when using a particular site. (For example you may have customized the look of your My eBay to show
your Watched Items on the top.) Sometimes having too many outdated eBay cookies on your computer can cause you to experience problems when using the site.
This is why it's a good idea for you to delete your old cookies every so often. Deleting cookies won't harm your computer in any way.

Communicating with your transaction partner is an important part of buying and selling on eBay. Most transaction problems can
be prevented, as well as resolved, by communicating directly with the member. Here are some tips to make communication easier.
Tip: Remember, many eBay sellers keep regular business hours, and some do not respond to emails during the evening, on weekends, on holidays,
and so on.
If you cannot contact the seller by email after you purchase an item, or you don't receive a response, you should request the member's contact
information and call them. Remember, in order to obtain this information about another member, you have to be involved in a transaction with them.

Your listing may not be immediately searchable when using a keyword search or category search, until several hours
after you've created it. eBay can't guarantee exact listing durations in search results if you've listed or re-listed an item in the past few hours,
or changed its title. You can always find your listing by item number
or through My eBay.
Note: To make your listings searchable at a specific time, you may want to schedule them a day in advance (
Schedule Your Listings). Although your listings will generally be searchable within 24 hours,
for Trust and Safety reasons, there are times when this may take longer.
